The Tufts CTSI was home to the first MS/PhD program in clinical research in a biomedical graduate school (Tufts University Sackler School of Biomedical Sciences) in the nation. Now called the Clinical and Translational Science Graduate Program, the program is intended for those trained in the medical sciences, primarily fully-trained physicians, but also for other doctorally prepared clinicians who have completed their clinical training.
To accomodate the breadth of clinical and translational research and the need for rigorous training in methods related to specific areas and student interests, the Program now has three Concentrations: Evidence-Based Clinical Effectiveness Research, Clinical Investigation, and Health Services and Outcomes Research.
